18 - 20 September 2026

A Boutique Fair for Bibliophilic Treasures: Rare Books Berlin

The rare book fair Rare Books Berlin will offer an extraordinary experience in September 2026 for collectors, rare booksellers, galleries, and bibliophiles from around the world. In the heart of Berlin, within the unique historical setting of the Kronprinzenpalais on Unter den Linden, visitors will enjoy a lively encounter with book and cultural history in an elegant, salon-like atmosphere. Exhibitors will showcase their select offerings of books, prints, graphics, and ephemera, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of the objects with their expertise.

The intimate setting invites direct conversation with experts and exchanges with fellow book and art lovers. Rare Books Berlin gathers an exceptional breadth of material: from early printed books, manuscripts, incunabula, and bibliophile treasures to autographs, rare graphics, artists’ books, photography, and special collecting items.

Kronprinzenpalais
Unter den Linden 3

The Kronprinzenpalais, a striking landmark in the historic heart of Berlin, was built in 1663 as a Baroque residence for the Hohenzollern dynasty. In the 19th century, it was remodelled in the then-modern Neoclassical style and subsequently served as the official residence of the Prussian crown princes. It was here, in 1831, that Friedrich Wilhelm, later Emperor Frederick III, was born. The name of the palace still reflects the royal heritage of the house.

After the building was destroyed during the Second World War, it was carefully reconstructed in the 1960s. Since then, the Kronprinzenpalais has become an important venue for political and cultural events. Situated directly on the famous Berlin boulevard Unter den Linden, just a few steps from the Brandenburg Gate, it stands at the centre of the historic Forum Fridericianum.
